In "Optics of Aging," stereotypes of ageism are dissolved and the beauty of aging is revealed through five elders who have shaped the landscape of Rhode Island and beyond. A film by Michelle LeBrun, featuring Linda Miller, Alvin Stallman, Mildred Nichols, Morris Nathanson, and Phil West. Free admission
This documentary screening serves as the 2025 Thewlis Lecture on Gerontology and Geriatrics at University of Rhode Island. It takes place in Edwards Hall on the URI Kingston campus. Reception from 4-4:30, Film and Discussion from 4:30-5:45.
