Aquidneck Island Village: How to Stay in Your Home & Community as You Age

About this event

What is a village? It’s an opportunity for older adults to age in place and not alone. The concept is neighbors helping neighbors. Our volunteers are trained and vetted to provide support. The Village Common of Rhode Island has 13 villages across Rhode Island, and we are currently seeking volunteers for our Aquidneck Island Village. Join us at the Middletown Public Library on Tuesday, May 5, from 10:30 AM to Noon to learn more. Light refreshments will be served!

We have many volunteer roles that need to be filled, including membership ambassadors, volunteer drivers, tech support, helping members with errands and minor home projects, Friend to Friend, events planning and more!

If you’re interested in learning more about joining our Aquidneck Island Village as a volunteer or member, please contact aquidneck@villagecommonri.org.

The Village Common relies on donations to offer our programs. This event is free to attend, but we thank you for any contributions you choose to give. Click on this button to donate. Donate
