on Rhode Island Revolutionary War hero
Nathanael Greene
Aquidneck Island Village and the Edward King Senior Center co-hosts a presentation by author, lecturer and screenplay writer Janet Uhlar that will focus on Rhode Island’s own revolutionary war hero, General Nathanael Greene.
Janet Uhlar will immerse us in the extraordinary life of Nathanael Greene and lead us through a fascinating journey detailing Nathanael Greene’s humble Quaker upbringing in Rhode Island and his rise to become one of General Washington’s most trusted and accomplished American Revolutionary War heroes and strategic advisors. Janet’s passionate approach humanizes history by focusing on the intense personal and emotional struggles of Nathanael Greene, bringing the Revolutionary War to life as a deeply human drama. Janet Uhlar is the author of two books on forgotten American Revolutionary War heroes, General Nathanael Greene and Dr. Joseph Warren. Janet Uhlar served on the Board of Trustees of the Nathanael Greene Homestead and she has spoken extensively to a wide variety of audiences.
