Learn how nutrition and lifestyle changes can promote better health. The program focuses on heart and bone healthy nutrition strategies to help maintain or improve wellness and prevent chronic disease development or progression. Healthy Eating uses the USDA’s MyPlate as a framework. Sessions meet once a week for 2 hours over the course of 6 weeks.

Westerly Village will be hosting a Social Gathering every week from 1:30 – 3:30 PM. Through the generosity of the Dunn’s Corner Presbyterian Church, we can utilize space in their facility on a weekly basis. This offers us a fantastic opportunity to have a meeting place where we can get together for a variety of activities.

Pawtucket Brain Fair - Hope Artiste Village
People all ages are invited to inmerse themserlves in the mysteries and intricacies of the brain during Brain Wave RI‘s (BWRI) two Brain Fairs. Come learn about basic science and brain health; interact with brain science labs, familiarize yourself with community resources and experience the thrill of discovery at either Brain Fair, or both! These special events have attracted 600-800 attendees per event since 2016. Both events are free of charge and open to the public.
Considering Matthew Shepard is an exceptional musical tribute to an “ordinary boy.” First performed in 2016, this modern oratorio explores Matthew’s life, death and legacy.

Richard Muto, Social Services Support Specialist at the Ocean State Center for Independent Living (OSCIL), is a Certified Community Health Worker. In addition to participating in numerous outreach events, Richard serves on the Outreach Team as well as the Sensitivity Training team. Richard facilitates the OSCIL virtual brain injury support group twice a week.
